Enrolling Undocumented Student

Through Public Act 093-007 (In-State Tuition) and SB 2185 (Illinois DREAM Act), the state of Illinois provides undocumented students with in-state tuition rates and the opportunity to apply for privately funded scholarships. In order to serve these students and provide them the benefits accorded to them by law, the following procedures will outline the documentation to be submitted to Enrollment Services so that students can receive the appropriate tuition rate.

Late Enrollment

This standard provides clear guidelines on the late enrollment policy pertaining to students enrolling in classes at Illinois Central College. The purpose of the standard is to articulate what is considered late enrollment and define the timeline, as well as the policy and procedures students must follow in order to enroll.

Multiple Degrees

The Multiple Degree Standard Operational Procedure is to outline the degree and/or certificate that a student can be enrolled at any one time.

Program of Study

Ensures a process is followed to accurately and effectively verify that student’s correct program of record is on file and updated by census date for each semester.

Reverse Transfer Degree

The purpose of the Reverse Transfer Agreement is to allow former Illinois Central College (ICC) students who have completed at least 15 hours of transferrable coursework, prior to transferring to an Illinois state, public college or university, the ability to apply for an associate degree at ICC.

Visiting Transfer Student Course Placement

This standard provides the processes and procedures available to the College for course placement of students that have attended an accredited four-year institution.
