Cooperative Agreements

CAREER Agreement

This agreement aims to expand the career and technical education programs offered to students within District 514, as well as to provide our programs to Illinois students from outside District 514. All Illinois community colleges participate in this agreement.

The CAREER Agreement reduces the student’s tuition obligation to the current in-district rate of the receiving institution.

Who Should Complete the Form?

This form is only for students who live in ICC's district and wish to attend another college, as defined above.  This form must be completed each academic year.

How It Works

The agreement works in two ways:

  1. A District 514 student can enroll in a career and technical education curriculum (program) that is not offered by Illinois Central College but is offered by a participating two-year college.
  2. A non-District 514 student can enroll in a career and technical education curriculum (program) not offered by their home community college district at ICC.

Your application to attend a community college outside of the ICC District must be returned to Enrollment Services at Illinois Central College at least 30 days before the start of the term in which you intend to begin the specified program. The applicant must be a legal resident of the Illinois Central College District #514. Proof of legal residency may be required in some cases.
