Overview
The goal of the Peer Support Program is to provide an accessible form of support for students to promote overall well-being of the Illinois Central College community.
What is Peer Support?
An ICC Peer Support is a student with training in peer education and basic mental health support. Peer Supports are not licensed mental health professionals but work closely with ICC Counselors. Students can be seen on a drop-in or appointment basis.
Students, do you need help with:
- Goal-setting and time management
- Stress management techniques
- Strategies for academic success
- Connection to campus resources and offices
- Ways to manage feeling overwhelmed
- General student need for a “listening ear”
- Mental health and wellness tips
Or do you simply want someone to talk to about what you're going through? The Peer Support program is here to help.
Drop-in or Schedule an Appointment
Students can stop by the Career Center at the East Peoria campus or S221 at the Peoria campus to drop in or schedule an appointment. Direct appointment bookings can be made here.
