Operational Standard/Purpose

To create a standard protocol for recognizing an outgoing Board of Trustee Chair.

Scope/Applicability

This standard operating procedure applies to all Board of Trustees.

Procedures

  1. The outgoing Board of Trustee Chair receives a gift of appreciation for serving as the Board Chair. The gift is given at the April Board meeting prior to voting in the new Board of Trustee Chair.
  2. Gift: The gift for the first term of serving as the Board Chair is a commemorative gavel and block engraved with the Board Chair’s name, ICC’s name, and the year they served as Chair. The gift for a second term as Board Chair is open for selection.

Additional Provisions/Information

If the outgoing Board Chair is concurrently leaving the Board due to election results or retirement, refer to the Board of Trustees Outgoing Trustee Recognition Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
