Q:Is there childcare available on campus?

Yes. ICC Children's Center is located on the East Peoria Campus. Prospective parents can take a tour and meet our fully-licensed teachers by contacting us at (309) 694-5116 or childcare@icc.edu.

Child Care Voucher

The Childcare Voucher Assistance Program supports low-income students by supplementing the cost of childcare so students can attend class and focus on their coursework.

Requirements:

  • Apply for FAFSA and CCAP funding
  • Maintain 2.0 GPA or higher
  • Enroll child at an eligible childcare facility
  • Pay all outstanding balances to the childcare provider
  • Notify ICC if child(ren) withdraws from provider’s care, student withdraws from classes, or eligibility status changes
  • Students may receive up to $100 per credit hour, per semester up to a maximum of $1,000 Costs over the voucher amount are the responsibility of the student Payment is made directly to the childcare provider Credit hours must be maintained and will be verified throughout the semester Childcare provider must verify child’s attendance during the semester Funds are awarded on a first come, first served basis Students must certify eligibility each semester with student support specialist.

Lactation and Privacy Rooms

Lactation and privacy rooms are available for students at the East Peoria and Peoria campuses.

Family Friendly Study Rooms

The East Peoria Campus Library has family-friendly study rooms. Study rooms include toys and seating for children. Children may not be left unattended. To reserve or for more information, contact the ICC Library

Gender Neutral Bathrooms

Gender-neutral bathrooms are available for students at the East Peoria and Peoria campuses.
