Getting Started With The ICC HUB

Overview 

The ICC Information HUB is accessible to all ICC faculty, staff, and students to find college-specific information (documentation, forms, links, etc.), view knowledge base articles, and submit IT and non-IT related service requests. This article is intended to showcase how to navigate through the service portal and how to find the services and support. 

Prerequisites 

While some features and articles within the ICC HUB are accessible to everyone, you will need to sign-in with your ICC network account user name followed by "@icc.edu" to view most of the knowledge base content and access service pages for submitting request tickets for support. (Example: AB123@icc.edu)

Finding Knowledge Base Article Information 

The ICC Hub includes a dynamic knowledge base that is ever-growing to support our college community.  Users can find specific articles by searching the service catalog or just searching the entire service portal.  The articles vary between how-to articles, detailed overviews, and FAQ’s. 

There are several ways to find what you are looking for: 

  1. Search the client portal using the search utility at the top right corner of the Hub home page, enter your search terms, then click the magnifying glass button.  Filter the search by selecting the drop-down on the left of the search field and selecting Knowledge Base. 

  1. Click the Knowledge Base page link from the main menu at the top of any page on the Hub to link directly to the Knowledge Base category page.

Finding the Service Catalog for Support

The HUB also features a service catalog that offers college services and support for technology and other non-technology services.  These services can be requested by navigating to the service need and submitting a request. 

There are several ways to find what you are looking for: 

  1. Search the client portal using the search utility at the top right corner of the Hub home page, enter your search terms, then click the magnifying glass button.  Filter the search by selecting the drop-down on the left of the search field and selecting Service Catalog. 

  1. Click on the Services page link from the main menu at the top of any page on the HUB or click on the Submit a Ticket button in the middle of the home page to link directly to the Services Category page. 

 

Submitting a Service Ticket

Users have the ability to submit service tickets to request support and/or service via the Service Catalog.  ICC offers services that are categorized making it easy for our users to search, find and submit a service request

Steps to submit service request ticket: 

  • Search the client portal using the search utility at the top right corner of the Hub home page, enter the service needed, then click the magnifying glass button.  Filter the search by selecting the drop-down on the left of the search field and selecting Service Catalog.  From the search results choose the service.

  • Choose the appropriate category from the Service Catalog and then choose the appropriate service within that category to access the service and the request form.

  • Thoroughly complete the form to submit the ticket.  Note...that several fields on the form are required to submit a request.
