New Club or Organization Planning

Before you dive in, here are some things to consider. The new club process is designed to help you think through a few key pieces that will set your club up for success.

  • Find Your People: You’ll need at least 10 students who are interested in joining. Start asking around—your club crew might already be closer than you think.
  • Think About an Advisor: Every club needs at least one faculty or staff advisor. Start thinking about who might be a good fit to support your group.
  • Know Your "Why:" What gap will your club fill? Who is it for? How will it benefit your fellow students? We love your enthusiasm—but we also want to hear the “why” behind your idea.
  • See What's Already Out There: Check out the current Clubs & Organizations. A similar club might have existed before, and you might be able to build on past ideas or avoid starting from scratch.
