Operational Standard/Purpose
In order to provide a means for educational development and to encourage individuals to upgrade their skills and/or educational experience, individuals meeting eligibility requirements who enroll in credit courses at the College may have their tuition waived.
Scope/Applicability
Refer to the Employee Handbook for additional information.
Procedures
- Employee/student is required to complete a Tuition Waiver Request Form each semester and submit it to Human Resources for approval by the following deadlines:
- Students in dual credit classes: The form must be submitted by September 1 for fall term and February 1 for spring term.
- Students in all other classes: The form must be submitted on or before course census day (10th day of class).
- Once approved, Human Resources forwards form to Student Accounting for final processing.
- Employee/student receives an email notification informing them of the status of the tuition waiver during the approval process.
