Overview

Microsoft Outlook is used for email, calendar, contacts, and meeting invitations. You can access Outlook using a web browser, desktop app, or mobile device.

Outlook is the primary tool for business email and scheduling.


Getting Started

Step 1: Sign in to Microsoft 365

  1. Open a web browser and go to:
    https://mail.icc.edu
  2. Sign in using your work email address and password

✅ Be sure you are signing in with your work account, not a personal Microsoft account.


Step 2: Understand the Outlook Layout

  • Inbox – Where your email messages appear
  • Calendar – Meetings and appointments
  • Contacts (People) – Company and personal contacts
  • Search Bar – Quickly find emails or people

Common Tasks

Send an Email

  1. Select New mail
  2. Enter the recipient, subject, and message
  3. Select Send

Schedule a Meeting

  1. Select Calendar
  2. Select New event
  3. Add attendees, date, time, and location
  4. Select Save

Set an Out‑of‑Office Reply

  1. Select Settings (gear icon)
  2. Select Account
  3. Select Automatic replies
  4. Turn on automatic replies and set your message

  • Keep subjects clear and concise
  • Use Search to quickly find old messages
  • Clean up your inbox regularly

Common Questions

Can I access Outlook without installing anything?
Yes. Outlook works fully in a web browser.

Yes. Outlook is available for iOS and Android.

Why don’t I see all my emails?
Check your Focused Inbox or other folders like Junk or Archive.
